Missions and Outreach

Presbyterian Women (PW) Outreach

Presbyterian Women play a vital role in the life of West New Bern, focusing on service and care for both our church family and the wider community. Through monthly Bible studies and fellowship, they organize various outreach projects, including collecting food for Religious Community Services and providing essential items for refugee families and the Women's Shelter. They also offer support by visiting the sick, bereaved, and shut-ins, and organizing events like the Hanging of the Greens. Whether through meals, cards, or visits, Presbyterian Women are dedicated to building a caring community.

Little Free Library

In 2016, West New Bern launched a Little Free Library on church property as part of an outreach effort to build connections with our neighbors in the Colonial Heights and Ghent communities. Church members gathered books, built two book boxes (one for children and one for adults), and became a charter member of the Little Free Library organization. Since its grand opening on July 9, 2016, the library has become an increasingly popular resource, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, offering free books and fostering a sense of community.
